Centreville Sports

Centreville is well known for its many years of basketball success. Many provincial banners hang in the Centreville Community School gymnasium as a testament to all the great teams that we’ve seen play over the years. There is an opportunity for students of CCS, aged 5 to 14, to play basketball with the Northern Carleton Minor Basketball Association and Middle School teams. The season usually kicks off in early November and lasts until late March. There are various other seasonal sports offered at the Centreville Community School throughout the academic years such as soccer, volleyball, badminton, and rugby.

The Centreville Rec Committee also offers summer recreational sports for ages 4 to 14. Early registration for these programs and swimming pool programs takes place in late May of each year.

There is a very active summer soccer and T-Ball program as well as swim team and swimming lessons at our outdoor pool. Our pool is heated and is located next to our new splash pad which offers great fun and activity for all ages. This is all located at Centreville Community Park right behind Centreville Community School. There are two outdoor basketball courts in the park as well.

In the winter months, you can skate and play hockey on the outdoor rink that is also located on the CCS property. We are very fortunate to have all of our recreational facilities within the same area and located right next to the school.
